The Unspoken Rule of Executive Presence: Why Strategy Needs Style
How a simple community collaboration became the two-part formula for closing the career visibility gap.
(PC: Maujh)
There's something magical that happens when you bring together women who are industry leaders, mothers, entrepreneurs, and creatives into one space.
As a Brand Strategist specializing in Ecosystem Development, I know that business growth isn't built in a silo—it's forged through genuine, strategic connections. Recently, I had the opportunity to experience this firsthand when I collaborated with Shruti Goradia, founder of Maujh, on her festival photoshoot campaign.
I’ve been a big fan of Shruti’s handcrafted jewelry for years, and the chance to model them for her brand marketing was both exciting and eye-opening. What started as a simple photoshoot quickly evolved into a masterclass in ecosystem building and the power of leaning on your community.
The Photoshoot That Solidified a Partnership
The session brought together an incredible group of women—fellow moms, industry leaders, former professional models—all united by a shared appreciation for intentional self-expression. Even our talented portfolio photographer was a woman and fellow mom. This project was more than a brand campaign; it was a community of women supporting women, creating something beautiful together.
We experimented with different looks, blended our personal styles with Shruti's elegant designs, and learned from each other. (If you want to see the results and style in action, check out the Maujh Instagram and explore her stunning collection at Maujh. This is ecosystem building in action: leveraging your community's strengths, creating authentic connections, and building strategic partnerships that benefit everyone involved.
Shruti has been a friend, a client, a cheerleader, and a supporter all throughout my journey with Elevate. Her real talent for fashion and design is matched only by her ability to help women express their confidence through what they wear.
From Community Observation to Transformative Workshop
The idea for The Confidence Catalyst was already one of the top items on our collaboration list. Shruti and I had been consistently discussing the common challenge we see in our respective work: women with enormous potential and impressive accomplishments who still struggle to find their commanding confidence.
However, the collaborative photoshoot provided the ultimate proof and momentum to launch. Seeing how quickly intentional style transformed the women and how readily they connected their appearance to their career aspirations cemented The Confidence Catalyst as our next priority. The project gave us the tangible, real-world evidence that we needed to address both the inner and outer game of presence immediately.
Talented professionals who:
Have the resume but struggle to articulate their value.
Know their worth intellectually but can't translate it into a compelling presence.
Want to level up but aren't sure how to show up differently.
That’s when the workshop truly came to life. Shruti and I realized we could address both sides of this confidence gap: the inner strategy and the outer style.
Your Two-Part Transformation: Strategy + Style
We structured the workshop to be the ultimate personal brand alignment session, making it a perfect fit for the goals of my Blossom Program (Career Alignment and Self-Discovery):
The Internal Brand (Led by Twisha): I will work on your storytelling and brand strategy. We'll define your Value Story and master the "Pivot Story," ensuring your past experience is framed as an asset for your next move.
The External Appearance (Led by Shruti): Shruti brings her expertise in intentional styling. She’ll show you how to use style choices—like her beautiful Maujh jewelry—to visually amplify your narrative, giving you that polished, confident edge required for high-stakes settings.
The Business Case for Leaning on Community
This collaboration is a perfect example of what I teach about Strategic Partnerships for Business Growth. Here’s what made this partnership powerful:
Authentic Relationships First: The business opportunity emerged from genuine friendship, not just a spreadsheet.
Complementary Expertise: Shruti's styling combined with my personal branding strategist background creates a 360-degree transformation that neither of us could offer alone. This is the power of 1+1=3.
Community-Driven Growth: By bringing our respective communities together, we're expanding both our networks while delivering multiplied value.
Leaning on your ecosystem isn't a weakness; it's a superpower for sustainable growth.
Harnessing Your Ecosystem for Momentum and Progress
(PC: Maujh)
As a strategist, I view community not just as a place for networking, but as a potent force for accelerating growth and achieving a greater good.
When you lean on your community and intentionally cultivate your ecosystem:
You Gain Momentum: Every collaboration, like the one that launched The Confidence Catalyst, serves as a powerful proof point, generating buzz and immediate interest that you couldn't buy with marketing dollars.
You Solve Bigger Problems: By combining diverse expertise (strategy and style, in this case), you address complex challenges—like the confidence gap—with comprehensive solutions.
You Drive Collective Progress: Your success inspires your community, who in turn support your mission, creating a self-sustaining cycle of growth for everyone involved.
This principle is at the core of my Grow and Blossom Programs for business scaling and career transformation. The strongest brands are the ones that are built on genuine, mutually beneficial partnerships.
